- YOUTH TRAINING/WORKSHOP: The primary service is a 4 – 6 hour training entitled, Save our Youth and is geared toward youth educators, community leaders working with youth, and parents. This extended programming option offers helpful tips and strategies for developing better interpersonal connections with adolescent populations which may directly impact academic success. This option can be provided in the form of one full day workshop or spread across two or three shorter sessions.
- SNAPSHOT: In an effort to stimulate the development of individual identity among youth; Future 4 Teens provides 6-10 focus group discussions specifically related to topics associated with identity development. Such topics include but are not limited to; racial identity, emotional/spiritual/physical self, and internal and external representation of self. By utilizing photography to develop autobiographical "snapshots" of the emerging themes about self that youth identify during the focus groups; youth will be able to develop a more concrete and artistic reflection of themselves and their current worldview. - HIP HOP: AM I IN THERE? In an effort to stimulate critical discussion about male and female image, students participate in a 6-10 week focus group that allows for critical evaluation of Hip Hop media. Students get an opportunity to watch documentaries, videos, and other forms of Hip Hop derived media and engage in critical dialogue about such images and messages. Students are then encouraged to develop a final product that represents their journey in the group and new found understanding of self in Hip Hop.
- ANNUAL REAL TALK YOUTH RETREAT. Annual Real Talk Summer Youth Retreat has been designed to provide a forum for young men and women to engage in critical dialogue about the topics that are important to them. Theme of the First Annual Real Talk Youth Retreat was college life. The Second Annual Real Talk Youth Retreat revolved around the theme of relationships. Each retreat allows for interpersonal dialogue through large and small group focus groups, media critique, and fun activities to encourage group comradely.
- SUMMER YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE. The Future4Teens Summer Youth Basketball League has been designed to provide youth with a structured summer athletic experience that nurtures socio-emotional development. This league includes fun and positive competitive sport interaction and the intentional facilitation of strong leadership skills. The future 4 Teens staff provide youth with the opportunity to explore their leadership potential and define their character on and off the court. Topics included; self-management and emotional regulation, social awareness, the stigma's of student athletes vs. athletic students, reputation and male image.
